Abstract

Equipment for recirculating exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine having an exhaust gas turbocharger, especially a diesel engine, comprises: an exhaust gas recirculating device with a recirculating valve, connected with a gas exhaust pipe and an inlet pipe of the internal combustion engine; at least one air compressor for compressing the extracted exhaust gas and connected with the gas exhaust pipe; at least one exhaust gas pressure container used for storing the compressed exhaust gas and connected with the air compressor; a gas transmission device connected with the at least one exhaust gas pressure container through a valve and connected with the inlet pipe of the internal combustion engine and an air inlet; and a control device for controlling the equipment. A method for recirculating exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine comprises the following steps of: (S1) extracting exhaust gas from the internal combustion engine at a suitable gas extracting normal operating point of the internal combustion engine; (S2) compressing the extracted exhaust gas and fresh air; (S3) storing the compressed exhaust gas and the compressed fresh air; and (S4) reciculcating the exhaust gas and the fresh air stored at a determined ratio into the internal combustion engine.
