Problems solved by technology

[0004] Although anthranilic diamides have properties that make them suitable for use in the protection of propagules and developing growth, achieving sufficient uptake of anthranilic diamide in propagules and developing roots will allow the developing plant in need of protection to It is difficult to obtain insecticidally effective concentrations within the fraction
Although the anthranilic diamide coating on propagules is exposed to moisture from the propagule and surrounding plant growth medium (such as soil), the low water solubility of anthranilic diamide insecticides hinders their movement through moisture

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to compositions comprising anthranilic diamide insecticides and polymers in mixed form of nanoparticles. The invention also relates to the geotropic propagules coated with these compositions and to the protection of propagules and plants derived therefrom from phytophagous pests by bringing said propagules into contact with these compositions. Background technique [0002] The damage of phytotropic propagules, such as seeds, rhizomes, tubers, bulbs or corms, and plants derived therefrom by herbivorous pests causes significant economic losses. [0003] Anthranilic diamides, or anthranilamides, are a recently discovered class of insecticides that are active against many pests of economic importance. PCT Publication WO 03 / 024222 discloses the use of anthranilic diamide treatment for the protection of propagules from herbivorous invertebrate pests. Furthermore, due to the ability of anthranilic diamide to translocate within ...
