Abstract

The embodiment of the invention provides a codebook feedback method, user equipment and a base station. The codebook feedback method comprises the following steps: a reference signal sent through an antenna array by the base station is measured; according to the measuring result, a precoding matrix is selected from a codebook; multiple codebook indexes corresponding to the precoding matrix are determined; and a precoding matrix indicator PMI corresponding to two of the multiple codebook indexes is determined, and the PMI is sent to the base station such that the base station sends the precoding matrix of data according to the PMI selection. According to the embodiment of the invention, the user equipment sends the PMI corresponding to the multiple codebook indexes to the base station, and the multiple codebook indexes are corresponding to a first parameter in a first antenna direction and a second parameter in a second antenna direction. The base station can utilize the first parameter and the second parameter to form spatial three-dimensional beams in the horizontal and vertical directions. Thus, system performance can be raised.
