Abstract

The invention provides a high-efficiency compact end surface pumping lath laser amplifier apparatus. The laser medium of the apparatus is lath-shaped and meets the following requirements: a length is greater than or equal to a width, and the width is greater than a height. A first cavity mirror and a second cavity mirror are flat mirrors and are respectively arranged to be opposite to two length*height surfaces of the laser medium; the cross section of the first cavity mirror is trapezoid-shaped, an upper bottom surface with quite a small area faces the laser medium, a lower bottom surface with a quite large area faces a first pumping source, and pumping light generated by the first pumping source is irradiated to the laser medium through the first cavity mirror; and seed lasers, after being reflected through the inclined side surface of the first cavity mirror, are injected to and pass through the laser medium, and are injected to the laser medium again after being reflected by the second cavity mirror, such that after multiple to-and-fro reflection between the first cavity mirror and the second cavity mirror and multiple penetration into the laser medium, the seed lasers are reflected and led out through the other inclined side surface of the first cavity mirror.
