The double-cylinder engine comprises pistons, connecting rods of the pistons, two cranks, connecting rods of the cranks, a six-connecting-rod or seven-connecting-rod rocker arm system and connecting shafts with eccentric wheels; the double-cylinder engine is combined by the pistons, the connecting rods of the pistons, the two cranks, the connecting rods of the cranks, the six-connecting-rod or seven-connecting-rod rocker arm system and the connecting shafts in a balancing mode. Eccentric wheels are adopted as rocker arm shafts; when the eccentric wheels rotate, fulcrums of rocker arms move upwards, dead centers on the pistons rise, and the compression ratio is improved. The rocker arms enable the motion direction of the connecting rods of the pistons to be opposite to the motion direction of the connecting rods of the cranks; and the double-cylinder engine obtains the better balance through the proper weight matching and balance blocks on the double cranks. The double-cylinder engine is obtained through a high-power, high-density and high-efficiency engine technology which is close to the ideal characteristics.
