Abstract

The invention discloses a cell therapy composition for treating osteoarthritis and cartilage defects. The cell therapy composition consists of stem cells and xanthan gum solution or gel; per 2 ml of the xanthan gum solution or gel at least contains 2x107 stem cells from a primary generation to a tenth generation; and the stem cells comprise adipose tissue derived stem cells, bone mesenchymal stem cells, umbilical cord blood derived stem cells and placenta derived stem cells. The intra-articular survival rate of the stem cells in the composition is high, conditions of the osteoarthritis and the cartilage defects can be improved, and damaged cartilage can be repaired.
