The river health evaluation method comprises the following steps that (a) an evaluation index system is established, and an evaluation factor set is determined; (b) according to the established river health evaluation index standard and determined river and lake level-5 health degree, and each level corresponds to one fuzzy subset evaluation set; (c) a single-factor subordinating degree function is determined; (d) a fuzzy relation matrix is established; (e) fuzzy weight vectors of rating factors are determined; (f) fuzzy comprehensive assessment is performed; (g) vector analysis is conducted on fuzzy comprehensive evaluation results. By the adoption of the river health evaluation method, the comprehensive evaluation results can be obtained, health degrees of single indexes can be also provided, accordingly convenience is brought to diagnosis performed by a drainage basin manager on a drainage basin water environment, and an accurate and effective management measure is implemented.
