Abstract

The invention relates to screening of peanut varieties, and in particular relates to a method for efficiently screening drought resistance type peanuts. The method comprises the following steps: 1) plowing and fertilizing soil in a rainproof cultivation pool; 2) selecting a to-be-tested peanut variety or strain with full grain and uniform size, and sowing the to-be-tested peanut variety or strain in the cultivation pool of the step 1), observing and recording the emergence condition and the growth condition every day; 3) performing drought stress treatment, setting the water content of the contrast treated soil as 75%-80% of the field capacity and setting the water content of the drought stress treated soil as 60%-65% of the field capacity; 4) harvesting the plants after the stress is ended, and determining the relative water content and the phenol content of the leaves; 5) screening the peanut variety or strain with the relative water content of the leaves which is reduced by less than 30% and the phenol content in the leaves which is increased by more than 25% compared with the contrast leaves.
