Abstract

The invention relates to a thin-layer chromatography method for identifying liquorice, glycyrrhiza inflate and glycyrrhiza glabra easily and rapidly. Specifically, the method includes: 1), taking a liquorice reference crude herb and a glycyrrhiza inflate reference crude herb, and adding methyl alcohol or an ethanol solution to the reference crude herbs to prepare reference crude herb solutions; 2), taking coarse powder of the three herbs of liquorice, glycyrrhiza inflate and glycyrrhiza glabra prior to performing ultrasonic processing by adding a solvent to obtain test solutions of liquorice, glycyrrhiza inflate and glycyrrhiza glabra; 3), respectively absorbing the proper reference crude herb solutions and test solutions and applying samples on a reversed-phase thin layer plate; 4), performing development by taking 0.1% of a phosphoric solution and ethyl alcohol in proportion as a developing solvent and taking out after development prior to performing drying; 5), identifying the liquorice, glycyrrhiza inflate and glycyrrhiza glabra by comparison of spots in a chromatogram. The different spots are displayed in the three sources of the liquorice in the chromatogram, and the method is high in specificity and capable of identifying the liquorice, glycyrrhiza inflate and glycyrrhiza glabra accurately.
