Embodiment Construction

[0029] Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the various figures, identical elements are indicated with similar reference numerals. For the sake of clarity, various parts in the drawings have not been drawn to scale. Also, some well-known parts may not be shown.

[0030] It should be understood that when describing a certain structure, when a layer or an area is referred to as being "on" or "over" another layer or another area, it may mean directly on another layer or another area, or Other layers or regions are also included between it and another layer or another region. And, if the structure is turned over, the layer, one region, would be "under" or "beneath" the other layer, another region. If it is to describe the situation directly on another layer or another area, the expression "A is directly above B" or "A is above and adjacent to B" will be used herein.

Abstract

The invention discloses a metamaterial structure, a radome including the metamaterial structure and an antenna system. The metamaterial structure comprises a first medium substrate and a plurality of conductive geometric structures located on the first medium substrate, wherein each conductive geometric structure is a central-symmetry distribution pattern and the adjacent conductive geometric structures are separated from each other. Changes of shapes and sizes of the conductive geometric structures lead to a change of an electromagnetic wave response characteristic. The radome can improve wave-transparent performance of an electromagnetic wave with a work frequency range and can be served as a filter so as to restrain penetration of an electromagnetic wave with a non-work frequency range, and therefore, a signal to noise ratio of antenna work can be increased.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to radomes and, more particularly, to metamaterial structures and radome and antenna systems incorporating metamaterial structures. Background technique [0002] An antenna system typically includes a radome. The purpose of the radome is to protect the antenna from wind, rain, snow, sand and solar radiation, so that the performance of the antenna system is relatively stable and reliable. At the same time, the radome can reduce the wear, corrosion and aging of the antenna system and prolong its service life. However, the radome is an obstacle in front of the antenna, which will absorb and reflect the radiation wave of the antenna, change the free space energy distribution of the antenna, and affect the electrical performance of the antenna to a certain extent. [0003] On the one hand, the radome should have a certain mechanical strength to protect the internal antenna, and on the other hand, it should allow the electroma...
