Abstract

The invention discloses a whisker-filled polycarbonate-polyethyleneterephthalate composite with high thermal stability and a preparation method thereof. The polycarbonate-polyethyleneterephthalate composite PC-PET-Ca is a blend of polycarbonate, polyethylene terephthalate and a pretreated calcium sulfate whisker in a mass ratio of (80-60): (20-40): (1-40), wherein the pretreated calcium sulfate whisker is a compound prepared by compounding a calcium sulfate whisker and sodium dihydrogen phosphate in an aqueous solution. The method comprises the following concrete steps: adding above raw materials into a melt-mixing device and carrying out melt-mixing at 240 to 280 DEG C to obtain a mixture; and discharging the mixture from the melt-mixing device, cooling the mixture to normal temperature and carrying out crystallization. The PC-PET compound of the invention greatly improves the thermal stability of PC-PET and ensures that the thermal stability of the filled composite is remarkably improved.
