Abstract

The invention relates to pomegranate phenylalanine ammonia-lyase PAL as well as an expression gene and application thereof. A nucleotide sequence of the expression gene of pomegranate phenylalanine ammonia-lyase PAL is shown as SEQ ID NO. 1; the amino acid sequence of pomegranate phenylalanine ammonia-lyase PAL is shown as SEQ ID NO. 2. According to pomegranate phenylalanine ammonia-lyase PAL, theexpression gene of pomegranate phenylalanine ammonia-lyase PAL is cloned from pomegranate fruits by adopting RT-PCR (Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction) and RACE (Rapid Amplification ofcDNA Ends) technologies, and bioinformatics analysis is carried out; expression properties of fruits with different varieties in a development process are researched and theoretical foundations are provided for disclosing pomegranate fruit appearance quality a browning formation mechanism.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to pomegranate phenylalanine ammonia-lyase PAL and its expression gene and application, belonging to the technical field of genetic engineering. Background technique [0002] The phenylpropanoid pathway is one of the unique secondary metabolic pathways of plants, which can be metabolized into lignin, flavonoids, alkaloids and other biologically active substances. Phenylalanine ammonia-lyase (PAL, E.C 4.3.1.5) is the rate-limiting enzyme in the first step of phenylpropane metabolism, which can catalyze L-phenylalanine (L-phenylalanine, L-Phe) Deamination produces cinnamic acid, which is a key bridge connecting primary metabolism and phenylpropanoid metabolism [1-2] . PAL is not only related to plant disease resistance and stress resistance [3] , also participate in the synthesis of anthocyanins and lignin, affect the appearance quality of fruit and tissue browning [4] . [0003] Pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) fruit is rich i...
