Abstract

A method of generating a Mathieu beam based on film amplitude modulation and cone mirror phase modulation is a method for accurately and efficiently generating a cluster of non-diffracting Mathieu beams. The method is based on the definition of the angular Mathieu function. Firstly, the grayscale image of the amplitude distribution with the angular Mathieu function distribution is constructed. Then, the grayscale image is subjected to black and white color inversion, and is printed on a high-resolution film by a film output instrument. After exposure of the printed film, an amplitude modulatedfilm with the angular Mathieu function distribution is obtained. The produced film is placed close to the entrance pupil surface of a cone mirror, incident parallel beams are modulated in terms of amplitude and phase via the film and the cone mirror respectively, and then the Mathieu beam is generated after the cone mirror. The experimental device of the invention has simple structure and can easily and accurately generate the Mathieu beam.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the generation, control and conversion technology of structured light beams, and is a method for accurately generating Mathieu light beams by using a film and an axicon. Background technique [0002] Many scientific experiments, such as the interaction of light with matter, require beams of light that are stable and unchanging in shape. But diffraction is the most common optical phenomenon. Diffraction effects during beam transmission lead to beam broadening and deformation. In order to overcome the diffraction of light waves, the non-diffraction structured beams introduced and produced in recent years are an important means to construct and transmit invariant beams. A non-diffractive structured beam is a special solution to the wave equation. A common feature of this type of beam is that the beam distribution has nothing to do with the transmission distance. Therefore, non-diffracting structured light beams can play a speci...
