Abstract

A process includes steps: subjecting a carrier to water washing and acid washing; performing rhodium adsorption, mixing rhodiumcompound solution with calcium hypochlorite to obtain mixed liquid, and adopting the mixed liquid for impregnation or spraying of activated carbon, wherein a mole ratio of metal rhodium to calcium hypochlorite is 1:10-110; performing alkali neutralization until liquid pH value reaches 4.0-8.0; performing reduction to reduce rhodium adsorbed in the rhodium compound on the activated carbon into metal rhodium, wherein consumption of a reducing agent is 1-10 times of reducing equivalent; washing to remove chloride ions to obtain a catalyst product. The steps are carried out in a same reactor at the room temperature. The novel catalyst has advantages that the preparation process is simple, remarkable energy saving and water saving effects are achieved, competitive adsorption of impregnated substances is realized, the metal rhodium component can be uniformly distributed on the activated carbon, and the obtained catalyst is small in grain size, high in activity and long in service life.
