Abstract

The invention discloses an annular-cavity single-column vector mode output pulse optical fiber laser device which comprises a pumping source (1), a waveform division and mode division multiplexer (2),a gain optical fiber (3), an optical fiber mode filter (4), a saturable absorber (5), an isolator (6) and an output coupler (7) which are sequentially connected, wherein the saturable absorber is based on an annular-core optical fiber. The optical fiber used by the laser device is the annular-core optical fiber, and cores of the optical fiber are annularly distributed, so that the refringence ishigh; the degeneracy between LP11 modes is reduced; intercoupling between a TE01 mode and other modes is reduced; the TE01 mode can stably exist in a laser cavity; and stable single-column vector modepulse laser output is achieved by adding the saturable absorber to the cavity. According to the laser device, a method of generating stable single-column vector mode pulse laser for an annular-cavityoptical fiber laser device is provided for the first time; and an application of the column vector pulse optical fiber laser device is facilitated. The laser device can be applied in the fields of laser processing, microimaging, photomemory and the like.
