Abstract

The invention discloses a Fano refractive index sensor based on a runway-type micro-ring resonator. The Fano refractive index sensor comprises a linear channel waveguide, two closed runway-type waveguides and a fracture runway-type waveguide, wherein the two closed runway-type waveguides are located at the same side of the linear channel waveguide, and each closed runway-type waveguide comprises a first upper straight channel section and a first lower straight channel section. The first upper straight channel section of each closed runway-type waveguide is coupled with the straight channel waveguide; the fracture runway-type waveguide comprises a second upper straight channel section and a second lower straight channel section; the first lower straight channel section and the second upper straight channel section of each closed runway-type waveguide are coupled to form two sections of lower coupling areas; and a fracture is formed in the part, located between the two lower coupling areas, of the second upper straight channel section. When the liquid refractive index sensor is in use, the input light passes through different paths in the sensor, and finally interferes at the output end to form a sharp Fano line shape, so that a liquid refractive index detection function with high sensitivity, high quality factor and low error is realized.
