Abstract

The invention discloses an application of L-arginine to prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases in an outdoor atmospheric pollution environment and an L-arginine supplement, and belongs to the field of biomedicine. A random double-blind placebo control test method is adopted, patients recruited in community hospitals are used as research objects, and the effect of L-arginine on improving the blood pressure level of sensitive people in an atmospheric pollution environment is studied. Experimental results show that L-arginine and the supplement thereof can improve the level of L-arginine in human plasma and reduce the blood pressure level of middle-aged and elderly sensitive people walking outside in an outdoor atmospheric pollution environment, so that the effect of protecting cardiovascular health is achieved.
