Abstract

The invention provides a fast Fourier transform circuit of an audio processing device. The fast Fourier transform circuit is used for carrying out N-point fast Fourier transform and comprises a memory circuit and a butterfly operation unit circuit. The butterfly operation unit circuit reads the two-point input data from the memory circuit, performs butterfly operation on the two-point input data according to the twiddle factor to generate two-point output data, and writes the two-point output data into the memory circuit. The butterfly operation unit circuit comprises a multiplier and a plurality of adder-subtractor. The multiplier multiplies the real part coefficient or the imaginary part coefficient of one of the two-point input data by the real part coefficient or the imaginary part coefficient of the twiddle factor in a plurality of clock cycles in sequence. The multiplier performs a multiplication operation in each of the clock periods. The plurality of adder-subtractors execute addition and subtraction operation, so that the butterfly operation unit circuit generates two-point output data.
