Abstract

The invention discloses a magnet preform, a magnet assembly and a preparation method thereof. The magnet preform includes a magnet body and an expandable layer attached to the surface of the magnet body; the expandable layer is composed of (1) 10-25wt% ammonium polyphosphate, (2) 5-20wt% aliphatic polyol , (3) 20-50wt% epoxy resin, (4) 2-10wt% water-soluble carbodiimide or its salt and (5) 2-10wt% N-hydroxysuccinimide or its derivative. An intumescent composition is formed. The magnet preform can improve the bonding force between the magnet body and the base body.
