Embodiment 1

[0045] DME used in each fuel oil of Example 1 and Comparative Example 1, and a palm oil derivative as a lubricant used the following as test samples.

[0046] [DME]

[0047] A substance with a purity of 99.9% manufactured by Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Co., Ltd. was used as a test sample.

[0048] [Palm oil derivatives (palm fatty acid methyl esters)]

[0049] 356 g of methanol and 3 g of sodium hydroxide were added to 1014 g of palm oil, and a transesterification reaction was carried out at 70° C. for 60 minutes under a nitrogen atmosphere at a pressure of 0.1 MpaG or higher. After cooling, glycerin was separated, 50 g of methanol and 1 g of sodium hydroxide were further added, and transesterification was performed at 60° C. for 10 minutes under normal pressure.

[0050] Thereafter, 160 g of water was added, stirred, left to separate, and glycerol was removed to obtain crude palm oil fatty acid methyl ester. The obtained ester was distilled off the light fraction at normal pre...

Embodiment 2 and comparative example 2

[0069] There is a case where a part of the fuel oil leaks into the machine oil due to long-term operation, so assuming such a case, as described below, in the case where the machine oil contains a palm oil derivative as a lubricant related to the present invention ( Example 2) was compared with the deterioration of the machine oil in the case of containing a fatty acid lubricant other than the palm oil derivative (comparative example 2), and various evaluations were carried out in the oxidation stability test and appearance according to the following methods.

[0070] These results are shown in Table 1 below.

Embodiment 2

[0071] (Test sample of Example 2)

[0072] By including the palm oil derivative used in the above-mentioned Example 1 (palm oil Fatty acid methyl esters), the resulting machine oils.

Abstract

The invention aims at keeping the lubrication properties of a fuel oil containing dimethyl ether as the main component at a high level and thereby making dimethyl ether commercially serviceable as a fuel oil, thus providing fuel oils largely contributing to environmental conservation, lubricants for such oils, and productive facilities for the oils. The fuel oil of the invention comprises dimethyl ether and at least one member selected from among vegetable fats and oils and derivatives thereof. Examples of the vegetable fats and oils include coconut oil, palm oil and so on, while those of the derivatives include mono- to poly-hydric alcohol esters of the constituent fatty acids of the above vegetable fats and oils, adducts of these esters with alkylene oxides, and adducts of the constituent fatty acids with alkylene oxides. The lubricant of the invention for fuel oils containing dimethyl ether as the main component consists of at least one member selected from among the above vegetable fats and oils and derivatives thereof.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a fuel oil mainly composed of dimethyl ether which has a small environmental load, a lubricant for fuel oil suitable for the fuel oil, and fuel oil manufacturing equipment. Background technique [0002] In recent years, since dimethyl ether (hereinafter referred to as "DME") has a high cetane number and contains oxygen atoms, it has been used as a substitute for new gasoline, gas oil, and heavy oil with less environmental load through smokeless combustion, etc. The material is noticeable. [0003] For example, a diesel engine fueled with DME can have almost the same output as gas oil, but unlike gas oil, since DME lacks lubricity, problems arise during long-term use: due to wear and tear of fuel injection The vibrating parts of the system, etc., are difficult to handle, and the current situation is that DME has not been successfully commercialized as fuel oil. [0004] On the other hand, there is known a gas oil compo...
