Embodiment 1 to 3 and comparative example C-1 to C-3
[0084] In Examples 1 to 3 and Comparative Examples C-1 to C-3, curable compositions were prepared on a two-roll mill by mixing the compounds shown in Table 1. Compounds are expressed in parts by weight per hundred parts by weight (phr) of fluoroelastomer, which units are customary in the rubber industry. The hydrotalcite contents in Examples 1 to 3 are given in Table 1, and Comparative Examples C-1 to C-3 were prepared without addition of hydrotalcite. Comparative Examples C-1 and C-3 contain 3phr of Ca(OH) 2 As an acid acceptor, Comparative Example C-2 contained 3 phr of MgO as an acid acceptor. The cured samples were tested with biodiesel with or without the addition of water at the temperatures and times shown in Table 2. The volume expansion ratios are shown in Table 2. Immersed in biodiesel or biodiesel + 5% H 2 O (Example 2) The physical properties of the cured samples were measured before and after reflux at 150°C for 504 hours in an open system, followed by drying ...
