The method comprises the following steps: receiving a new version firmware and an updated version number sent by a cloud; sending a version number comparison instruction to each auxiliary device; in response to the restart update instruction, restarting and running the new version firmware; receiving a target version number comparison result sent by each auxiliary device; determining an auxiliary device representing that the firmware version number is the same as the updated version number in the target version number comparison result as an upgraded auxiliary device, and determining an auxiliary device representing that the firmware version number is different from the updated version number as a non-upgraded auxiliary device; sending the new version firmware to the non-upgraded auxiliary equipment; the non-upgraded auxiliary equipment receives the new-version firmware sent by the main equipment or the upgraded auxiliary equipment and is restarted to run the new-version firmware. According to the method and the device, firmware upgrading of all devices is quickly completed.
