An assembly for providing a seal at an aft end of a combustor liner for a gas turbine engine including a longitudinal centerline axis extending therethrough. The sealing assembly includes a substantially annular first sealing member positioned between an aft portion of a support member and the liner aft end so as to seat on a designated surface portion of the liner aft end and a substantially annular second sealing member positioned between the support member aft portion and a turbine nozzle located downstream of the liner aft end so as to seat on a designated surface portion of the support member aft portion. Accordingly, the first sealing member is maintained in its seated position as the support member aft portion moves radially with respect to the liner aft end and the second sealing member is maintained in its seated position as the support member aft portion moves axially with respect to the turbine nozzle. The first and second sealing members are also maintained in their respective seating positions as the support member aft portion moves axially with respect to the liner aft end and radially with respect to the turbine nozzle.

A protective bottle enclosure for enclosing and sealing a bottle with an open mouth carried within the enclosure. The enclosure includes a container having an upper portion and a base removably coupled to the upper portion, and an external cap applicable to the container in a seated position of the cap. A method and system for determining the fall risk of a patient is provided. The method includes the evaluation of a patient to determine whether the patient exhibits one or more intrinsic fall risk factors selected from a group consisting of confusion, depression, altered elimination, dizziness, male gender, antiepileptic/anticonvulsant prescriptions and benzodiazepine prescriptions. A specific point value is assigned to each of the intrinsic risk factors found to be exhibited by the patient. A mobility test is also performed on the patient to evaluate the patient's ability to rise from a seated position, and a specific mobility test point value is assigned to the patient based upon the patient's performance of the mobility test. Each intrinsic risk factor's specific point value is then summed together with the specific mobility test point value to achieve a total risk score, and the patient's fall risk is determined based on the total risk score. An intervention process may be developed for the patient based on the patient's fall risk.

By moving the seat along the frame member a user can move between an upright seated position and an extended planar position. Disclosed herein is an exercise chair for aiding in the alleviation of lower back pain. The chair device of the present invention comprises a central post portion defining a central axis with a base at one end and a coupling portion fashioned to be tilted relative to the central axis at the other end. A coil spring is concentrically located on the central axis and affixed to the post portion at the one end and to the coupling portion at the other end. The coil spring is normally biased to maintain the seat of the chair in a non-tilted position. Also disclosed herein, is a method of practice employing the chair device. Devices and methods are disclosed which relate to lifting a user from a seated position to a raised position. This is performed by incorporating a lifting mechanism into a seat coupled to a movable base portion. Actuators coupled to drive shafts enable a plurality of linkages to be raised and tilted, enabling the seat to rise at the push of a button or other triggering mechanism. A plurality of compressible springs enables an even balance between the weight of the human and the pressure of the lifting mechanism underneath the seat. As the lifting portion lifts the seat, an angle of the seat changes from a substantially horizontal position to a relatively angled position, mimicking the natural motion of the hips and thighs for humans needing assistance. Embodiments disclosed include using the device as a bedside toilet, having a removable bowl attached to the seat, or using the device placed over a toilet.

A pillow for supporting a baby during bath time. The pillow comprises a compressible, shape-sustaining, C-shaped bolster with a center well sized to surround and “hug” the torso of a baby or toddler. A collapsible seat is attached to the bolster. The seat bottom is supported by a sidewall that is continuous with the inner sidewall of the bolster. In a first, extended position, the seat bottom is positioned a distance below the bottom of the bolster. This configuration is ideal for a baby or toddler in a seated position, allowing the child to sit upright inside the pillow's well. The seat may be configured in a second, collapsed position with the seat bottom forming a sling that extends across the well of the bolster. By flipping the pillow over, this configuration is ideal for supporting a small or newborn infant in a reclining position for bathing.

A check valve includes a body defining a passageway through which fuel flows in a first fuel-flow direction during pump operation. The check valve also includes a seat, a seal member, and a biasing member biasing the seal member toward the seat. The seal member is movable between a first seated position in which the seal member is engaged with the seat and the pressure in the fuel rail is substantially equal to the operating pressure, and a second seated position in which the seal member is engaged with the seat and a residual pressure in the fuel rail is substantially less than the operating pressure. The seal member and the seat define a leak path between the fuel pump and the fuel rail permitting fuel to flow in a second fuel-flow direction opposite the first fuel-flow direction when the seal member is in the second seated position.
