Apparatus for Displaying Shower or Bath Water Parameters

The present invention is a display apparatus for affixation to a shower or bath water supply piping or incorporated within a shower, or bath or faucet head, in an aesthetically pleasing format and comprised of fabrication materials e.g., a polymeric or metallic bases with chrome, brass white or colored finishes or combination of these finishes and materials of construction. The display apparatus includes a power generation, CPU or microprocessor, temperature sensor and/or water flow sensors, timing circuits and a display means. The present invention can include a remotely located wireless receiver apparatus. Ergonomically placed buttons can be incorporated into the display means to change parameter units (e.g. metric to US), set alarm conditions (e.g. temperature over set point, lime past a set point, flow rate set points). The display means must be able to provide sufficient lighting in shower conditions. In addition, the display means must be able to sustain capability in moist wet conditions. In the embodiment defined by the attached shower display apparatus, know piping joint technology will be used for installation into both new and presently installed shower systems. In the embodiment defined by the display means incorporate into the shower head the shower head/display assembly can also be installed in both new and presently installed shower systems.

Handicapped accessible shower enclosure with ramp and/or floor pan

A bathroom floor module adapted to be used in conjunction with a fully or partially curbless, such as one which is handicapped-accessible, waterproof shower module, where the bathroom floor module or may not define one or more drain apertures adapted to mate with a bathroom floor drain, and further wherein the bathroom floor module and waterproof shower module mate in such a way as to define a contiguous surface over which bathroom floor and/or wall tile can be applied to create a transition between bathroom floor and shower over which a wheelchair can be easily rolled. Installation of the handicapped accessible shower arrangement may be carried out by installing a waterproof shower module, or similar waterproof pan, in a shower enclosure, installing, as by adhering or simply laying, the bathroom floor module on the bathroom floor, placing an edge of the bathroom floor module in substantial registry with a corresponding edge of the shower modules, sealing the joint formed between the edges of the shower and bathroom floor modules, and installing a finishing surface material over the floor of the shower module and the sidewalls of that module, as well as the walls of the shower, and over the bathroom floor module 40 and threshold. Such finishing surface may be comprised of tile and grout, stucco, or the like as will occur those in the art. The shower module may employ a ramp feature which may or may not be placed adjacent the threshold between the shower pan and the bathroom floor pan.

Novel shower system based on touch screen control

The invention provides a novel shower system and belongs to the field of intelligent homes. The novel shower system is mainly composed of a touch screen, a fuzzy controller, a water return system and the like. The novel shower system is characterized in that touch screen control is adopted, and the fuzzy theory is introduced into the controller; in a manual mode, the multiple shower requirements are met through water temperature setting, valve setting and water spray setting; in an automatic mode, data are collected through a sensor and analyzed through the fuzzy controller, and then a decision is made; in the water return system, cold water in a hot water pipe is pumped into a cold water pipe and then into a water heater with a water pump through a water return pipe, and the cold water is repeatedly heated to achieve hot water circulation; an infrared thermal imager is used for human body detection, a user is prompted when someone is detected to enter the controller, and then a shower is controlled according to the data collected through the sensor; and alarm equipment is mainly used for monitoring the water quantity of the water heater in real time, when the water quantity is lower than the lower limiting value and the water heater is full of the water, the alarm equipment gives alarms, and alarm signals are sent to the user through a GPRS module, so that real-time control is facilitated, and the water saving requirement is met.
