A method of manufacturing an aircraft photoluminescent marking is disclosed, wherein a photoluminescent marking comprising at least a substrate is provided, the method comprising: i) providing an ink or coating suitable for curing with ultraviolet (UV) radiation; ii) printing one or more markings directly onto the substrate of the photoluminescent marking with the ink or coating; iii) wherein the markings comprise patterns, text, images, blocks or logos; iv) wherein the substrate is one of a photoluminescent material and a housing; and v) curing the ink or coating with UV radiation. Also disclosed is an aircraft photoluminescent marking comprising a substrate and a layer comprising ink or coating markings printed directly onto the substrate, the ink or coating being a composition cured by UV radiation.
