Self-diagnostic circuitry for emergency lighting fixtures

Electronic self-test and/or self-diagnostic systems particularly useful with emergency lighting fixtures, including exit signage having light emitting diodes as light sources and unit emergency fixtures powered with lead-acid batteries, the systems perform testing and diagnostic functions on the circuitry, power supply, charger and lamping of such fixtures either by manual or automatic initiation. Testing functions are provided through use of a programmable microprocessor, the diagnostic circuitry not only monitoring operation of charger/transfer circuitry but also controlling the charger/transfer circuitry to enable alternate strategies for alleviation of a given failure. In emergency mode of a light emitting diode exit sign, a microprocessor-controlled two-stage inverter is employed not only to power the LED light source, but also to efficiently power the microprocessor. Power to the microprocessor is controlled by the microprocessor itself and can therefore be discontinued after appropriate operation until mains power is restored, thereby effectively reducing power consumption to zero. System operation can be flexibly configured through use of a two-wire serial link between modular elements of the system. Incandescent emergency unit fixtures due to high drain rates and output loads require emergency mode operation through use of lead-acid batteries, thereby requiring voltage controlled charging and relay transfer, the self-test and/or self-diagnostic circuitry of the invention used with emergency unit fixtures thus differing in various respects from the circuitry employed for the LED exit signage fixtures and primarily in the need to measure both charge and discharge currents, the circuitry having a larger dynamic range in addition to a capability of measuring both positive and negative currents.

On-site hot smoke test equipment and method for subway station and inter-station tunnel

The invention discloses an on-site hot smoke test equipment and method for subway stations and inter-station tunnels. The system comprises ignition source systems, data acquisition systems, and a data processing system, wherein the ignition source systems are arranged in the subway stations and the tunnels to simulate a fire scene; the data acquisition systems are arranged in the platforms and the concourses of the subway stations, the station tunnels and the inter-station tunnel to collect the following information in the fire scene, such as temperatures, gas concentrations, gas velocities, images, thermal images, smoke heights and system linked time; and the data processing system is connected with the data acquisition systems and processes the data information collected by the data acquisition systems, obtains the evaluation indicative data about work effects, reliability and linkage conditions of the fire detection and warning systems, the ventilation and smoke removal systems, the emergency lighting systems, the exit passageways and the exit signs in the platforms and the concourses of the subway stations and the inter-station tunnels, and judges whether the individual fire fighting systems can ensure the safe escape of passengers in the fire accident. The on-site hot smoke test equipment and method can provide reasonable and correct scientific evidences for subway construction, system debugging and transport safety.

Long afterglow rare earth phosphor and polymer composite material

The invention relates to a method for preparing a long afterglow rare earth phosphor and polymer composite material, which comprises the following steps: blending, extruding and pelleting various polymer materials such as high-density polyethylene (HDPE), low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), green long afterglow rare earth phosphor and other related addition agents with a double screw to prepare granules of the long afterglow rare earth phosphor and polymer composite material; and preparing various luminescent products by an injection molding or mould pressing method. The method effectively solves bottleneck problems of dispersion, adhesion, bright color, plasticization and the like in the process to prepare the environment-friendly material with long afterglow time, high luminance, good stability, and no toxicity or radiation. The performance of the material is that: the material has long fluorescent lifetime which is longer than 24 hours; the adhesive force is first grade; and the impact strength is 43kg/cm. The material can replace the traditional ZnS luminescent material, and can be applied to various safety exit signs in airplanes, ships, underground markets and the like, fir-fighting apparatus signs, public traffic stop boards, various rating plates, films, tapes, handicraft articles, ornaments, toys and the like.

Apparatus integrated with cold light emergency lamp and cold light exit sign

A cold light emergency lamp, a cold light exit sign, a centralized control box of cold light emergency lamp and cold light exit sign, and an apparatus integrated with cold light emergency lamp and cold light exit sign are disclosed. A plurality of sockets are arranged on the body of the centralized control box for being inserted by power line plugs of a plurality of groups of cold light exit signs and cold light emergency lamps. The centralized control box further comprises: a battery; a micro control unit connected to the battery for detecting the battery regularly; a cold light element drive circuit connected to the micro control unit for performing drive under the control of the micro control unit. Each of the cold light emergency lamps and the cold light exit signs has a power line plug for inserting in a socket of the centralized control box so that the cold light emergency lamps and the cold light exit signs are electrically connected to the cold light element drive circuit. According to the present invention, a plurality of groups of cold light emergency lamps and cold light exit signs are separably integrated into a centralized control box so that not only the plurality of groups of cold light emergency lamps and cold light exit signs can be made a centralized control but also the volumes of the cold light emergency lamps and cold light exit signs can be greatly reduced and the cold light emergency lamps and cold light exit signs may be flexibly placed on any position in any angle according to emergent site.
