Embodiment Construction

[0038] The present invention will be further described below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and typical implementations, but it is not intended to limit the present invention.

[0039] Please refer to Fig. 4, which is a schematic diagram of the structure of the OLT of the present invention. The OLT includes an optical module, a service processing module (PON protocol control chip), a control module (control logic circuit) and an optical power detection device, wherein the optical module includes: an optical receiver, connected to the uplink path, used to receive the uplink optical signal and perform photoelectric conversion; an optical transmitter, connected to the downlink path, used to photoelectrically convert the electrical signal to be sent and then send it through the downlink path; and an optical coupler / decoupler. The optical power detection device is connected with the control logic circuit and the optical coupler / decoupler. When the optical coupler / deco...

Abstract

A method for maintaining passive optical network includes analyzing uplink signal of ONU by OLT, existing fault ONU in PON if analysis can not be carried out, emitting alarm by OLT and entering PON into detection state, recording optical power value of uplink signal to make fault detection at OLT side, positioning fault ONU, commanding to switch off optical emitter power supply of fault ONU by OLT, isolating fault ONU, disengaging PON from detection state and entering PON into operation state. The system used for realizing said method is also disclosed.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a passive optical network (PON, Passive Optical Network) technology, in particular to a maintenance method and system for a passive optical network. Background technique [0002] In the increasingly large-scale broadband access network, most of the existing local area networks (LAN) run on the 100Mbit / s network, and many large-scale commercial companies are transitioning to Gigabit Ethernet (GE). On the core network of the metropolitan area and the edge network of the metropolitan area, SONET / SDH / GE bandwidth capacity is very abundant, which causes serious bandwidth bottlenecks in the access network. Compared with cable transmission, optical fiber transmission has the advantages of large capacity, low loss, and strong anti-electromagnetic interference ability. Therefore, as the cost of optical fiber transmission gradually decreases, the fiber opticization of the access network is an inevitable development trend. The ac...
