Abstract

The invention provides for the utilisation of microchannel apparatus in a process for the cooling of a gaseous mixture comprising ethylene oxide and in a process for the concentration or purification of ethylene oxide. Such applications for the microchannel device are condensation in an ethylene oxide absorption / desorption process or in a distillation procedure where the column is connected to a microchannel apparatus.
