The invention relates to a method for preparing a polymer, disclosing a chemical oxidation method of a polypyrene. The method comprises the following steps: dissolving pyrene monomer in normal hexane to obtain the organic solution of the pyrene monomer and dissolving oxidant in nitromethane to obtain the organic solution of the oxidant; dropping the organic solution of the pyrene monomer into theorganic solution of the oxidant and stirring; after the dropping, carrying out thermostatic reaction within a temperature range of 20-70 DEG C; and obtaining the polypyrene after separation, impurityremoval and drying. The method for synthesizing the polypyrene has the advantages of easy operation, mild synthesis condition, relatively high yield, small energy consumption, easy popularization andmass production. Besides, the method more effectively avoids such defect that the yield of the polymer obtained by the electric polymerization method is limited by the electrode area.
