Abstract

The invention discloses a halogen free flame retardant cable sheath material and a manufacturing method thereof. The material mainly comprises the following components in parts by weight: 80-90 partsof ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, 10-20 parts of compatilizer, 120-180 parts of halogen free flame retardant, 5-20 parts of flame retardant synergistic agent, 1-3 parts of antioxidant and 5-20 parts of processing agent. The invention adopts magnesium hydroxide and aluminum hydroxide of the halogen free flame retardant, and avoids the use of a halogenous flame retardant, thereby not only effectively improving the flame retardant property of the cable material, but also ensuring that the cable material has better mechanical property.
