Abstract

The invention relates to a substrate using coal ashes and vinegar residues as raw materials and a composting method thereof. The substrate comprises the main components of 25-50 percent of coal ash and 50-75 percent of vinegar residue in percent by volume. 1-5 percent of phosphorus-containing fertilizer, 0-3 percent of potassic-containing fertilizer, 1-5 percent of nitrogen-containing fertilizer, 0-10 percent of acidity modifier and 0-10 percent of alkalinity modifier are added in the components of the substrate. The substrate of the invention integrates complementation effect of chemical properties of the coal ashes and the vinegar residues, lowers the pH value of the coal ashes, can improve the nutrition condition of the coal ashes, and meanwhile, enables the original excessively loose vinegar residues to be more compact, and is beneficial to soil and water conservation. By adding proper amount of fertilizer, the nitrogen, the phosphorus and the potassic in the substrate are richened. The invention can effectively decompose a large quantity of coal ashes and vinegar residues discharged by an electric power plant and a vinegar plant during the production, and reduce the environment pollution. The substrate is planted with Chinese lawn grasses for 1-2 years, heavy metals and other harmful substances in the substrate can be basically eliminated, and a high-quality excellent substrate approaching or similar to the indexes of the northeast grass peat is obtained.
