Description

[0001] This application is a divisional application of the invention patent application with the application number 00807107.1 and the application date of March 2, 2000. field of invention [0002] The present invention relates broadly to pharmaceutical preparations and methods of medical treatment, in particular agents (i.e. urea or urea derivatives, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) and antimetabolites). Background of the invention [0003] A. Neovascularization [0004] Neovascularization (or angiogenesis) is the process by which new blood vessels are formed in body tissues. Normal neovascularization is the physiological process by which the body creates and maintains the small blood vessels of the circulatory system. However, pathological or iatrogenic neovascularization is the non-physiological process by which abnormal vascular networks are formed in body tissues or in tumors, leading to certain diseases, traumas or other surgical conditions.
