The polymer material or a product prepared by the polymer material is heated in hot air flow, and the temperature of the hot air flow can not be higher than the temperature of a melting point or a softening point of the polymer material. The way of using the hot air flow to heat is adopted, and the volatile organic compounds can be taken away along with the hot air flow, thereby continuously reducing the volatile organic compounds, further keeping the environmental pressure, and eliminating the need of controlling the pressure in a container; as the method does not depend on the heating container, the product can be conveniently heated for eliminating the volatile organic compounds, and the operation can be performed at all times and places. In addition, in the method, the heating temperature of the air flow is further limited to be not higher than the temperature of the melting point or the softening point of the polymer material, and the removing efficiency of the volatile organic compounds at the temperature is highest at the temperature.
