Problems solved by technology

[0014] Furthermore, it is not possible to perform product extraction from algal organisms in an expeller like other materials because hydrated algae have only very low mechanical strength
[0015] These various limitations make current methods of obtaining algae extracts inefficient, unprofitable, and difficult to industrialize

Embodiment Construction

[0057] The present invention can be illustrated by a non-limiting example of a method of extracting an algae extract product from Chlorella Vulgaris.

[0058] Step a): The Chlorella microalgae sample was centrifuged to obtain a dry biomass of about 20% by mass.

[0059] At the same time, according to the method of the present invention, a part of the centrifuged biomass was freeze-dried to determine its basic composition, as shown in the following table:

[0061] It is determined that the main components of Chlorella Vulgaris are proteins, sugars and lipids.

[0062] Step b): In an autoclave reactor equipped with a heating mantle and a stirrer, a centrifuged 500 g sample of Chlorella containing about 20% dry matter was introduced. The interior of the reaction vessel was purged wi...

Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for obtaining algae extracts, characterized in that it comprises at least the following steps: a) pre-treating an algae sample; b) rapidly heating the pre-treated algae sample; c) applying a pressure greater than or equal to 1 bar; d) instantaneously reducing a pressure to less than or equal to 1 bar; and e) regaining the products obtained in d) in liquid, solid and/or gaseous form. The invention also covers the use of the algae extract products obtained by implementing this method.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a method for treating algae and the use of the extract obtained by said method. Background technique [0002] Algae are organisms that survive through photosynthesis and their life cycle takes place in an aquatic environment. They have all the common features that identify and differentiate them from land plants, but there are many species. [0003] Aquatic algae are generally divided into two categories: prokaryotes and eukaryotes. They can also be divided into three groups: seaweeds, microalgae and diatoms. [0004] Algal cells may be bare, or well protected by a complete and rigid cell wall, or covered by an incomplete wall or a series of scales, sheets, or bands. The cell wall is composed of two components: an amorphous component, which constitutes the matrix, in which the fibrillar components are embedded. The amorphous component is mainly composed of sugars, while the fibrillar component forms the rigid struct...
