Abstract

The invention discloses a method for measuring the arc sag of a wire of a power transmission line based on image processing. The method comprises the following steps of: firstly, acquiring an image signal of the power transmission line through a fixed-focus camera, transmitting the acquired image signal of the power transmission line back to a monitoring center in real time in a video stream form, and capturing a digital image of the power transmission line to be monitored from the video stream by the monitoring center so as to acquire a monitored target image; secondly, preprocessing the monitored target image; and finally, calculating data of the preprocessed image, thus obtaining the arc sag of the power transmission line. In the method for measuring the arc sag of the wire of the power transmission line based on image processing, the number of used equipment is small, the structure is simple and the cost is low; an image processing technology and a wireless transmission technology can be used fully; the monitoring center can remotely process the data and globally monitor the condition of the arc sag of a power network conveniently; and furthermore, the data of the arc sag can be acquired only through image processing and simple calculation instead of a precise math model, so the method is extremely simple and convenient to implement.
