Abstract

The invention discloses a method for preparing needle-shaped silver for electrodes by an electrolytic process. The method includes steps of 1), preparing silver nitrate; 2), preparing electrolyte; 3), casting a silver anode plate; 4), feeding the silver anode plate into an electrolytic tank; 5), measuring the concentration of silver ions and acidity; 6), starting electrolysis; 7), obtaining needle-shaped silver products; and 8), soaking the withdrawn needle-shaped silver in high-purity water. The purification and electrochemical processing technology is adopted in method, and the method has the advantages that proper technological parameters such as the concentration of the silver ions, the acidity, current density and anode-to-cathode distance are set, so that gradient concentration and concentration difference of the silver ions in electrolyte are formed, silver crystals on a cathode continuously extend towards a region with high silver ion concentration from a region with low silver ion concentration while growing, the growing speed of the crystals is higher than the generation speed of new crystal nucleuses and the growth speed of crystal nucleuses, and needle-shaped crystals are obtained. Besides, the prepared needle-shaped silver can be used for probes or electrodes of detection equipment, the purity of the needle-shaped silver is higher than or equal to 4N, the needle-shaped silver can completely replace an imported product, and domestic production requirements are met.
