Abstract

The invention relates to a polypropylene composition for a plastic inner container of a water heater and a preparation method thereof. The composition comprises (by weight) 85 to 95 parts of co-polypropylene, 5 to 15 parts of a filling material, 0.2 to 1 part of an anti-oxidant and 0.05 to 0.5 part of a processing aid. The polypropylene material prepared in the invention has the advantages of good balanced rigidity and toughness, a high load deformation temperature, excellent resistance to corrosion by acid and alkali, to thermo-oxidative aging and to water extraction, easy shaping through blow molding, low cost and good sanitation performance and overcomes the hidden trouble that a stainless steel inner container and an enamel inner container are easily corroded and leak water.
