A preparation method for h-BN / WB2 machinable ceramic is characterized by: employing h-BN coated WB2 ceramic powder, performing cold isostatic compaction, performing hot pressing, and sintering to form h-BN / WB2 machinable ceramic; mixing boric acid and urea (according to a ratio) with ethanol in a sealed container to prepare an esterification solution; adding WB2 ceramic powder into the esterification solution to prepare a ceramic slurry; employing a spray comminutor to prepare a coating WB2 powder from the above ceramic slurry, nitrogenizing the above coating WB2 powder to obtain h-BN coating WB2 ceramic powder; performing isostatic compaction on h-BN coating WB2 ceramic powder to prepare sheet-shaped bodies; and performing hot pressing in nitrogen atmosphere, and sintering to prepare h-BN / WB2 machinable ceramic.
