Problems solved by technology

This method is more complicated to operate, needs to add sample and tin protochloride reducing agent in the reaction flask at every turn during measurement, and the reading will keep an eye on the display, write down the highest value, the mercury after the reaction is absorbed by the potassium permanganate solution, Therefore, it is very troublesome to change the absorbent frequently.
[0008] Hydride generation atomic absorption spectrometry is a new trace analysis technique, which has the characteristics of high sensitivity, less interference from coexisting elements, and simple and fast method; however, there are no reports on the application of this method to the detection of mercury in marine sediments

Embodiment 1

[0024] 1. Preparation of marine sediment samples

[0025] 1.1 Instruments and materials

[0026] 50mL beaker; distilled water; glass stirring rod

[0027] 1.2 Preparation steps

[0028] Weigh 1g of the wet marine sediment sample, stir and mix it with distilled water in a 50mL beaker, and prepare the liquid sample to be tested.

[0029] 2. Digestion of liquid samples to be tested

[0030] Using the sulfuric acid-nitric acid-potassium permanganate digestion method, take a certain amount of liquid sample into a 150mL conical flask, add sulfuric acid-nitric acid mixed acid and potassium permanganate solution, insert the funnel, place it on a hot plate and heat to boil for 10 minutes During the period, the purple color of potassium permanganate should not fade. If the color fades, the amount of potassium permanganate should be added. After the digestion is completed, the excess oxidant should be reduced with hydroxylamine hydrochloride.

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for rapid detection of mercury content in ocean sediments. The method includes the following steps: a) weighing a wet sample of ocean sediments and preparing a liquid sample to be tested; b) digesting the liquid sample by a sulfuric acid-nitric acid-potassium permanganate digestion method, completely transforming mercury ions into divalent mercury, and reducing excessive oxidant; c) reducing the divalent mercury in the liquid sample to be tested into metallic mercury by using boron hydride; and d) detecting the mercury content in the liquid sample by using a hydride atomic absorption spectrophotometry. The invention provides a determination method with high degree of automation, and can rapidly determine mercury content in a variety of sample sources; and compared with the conventional method, the method is more labor-saving and time-saving in operation, and has high accuracy and high sensitivity.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of chemical analysis, in particular to a method for rapidly detecting mercury content in marine sediments. Background technique [0002] Mercury is an accumulative toxic element. After entering the human body, it accumulates in the central nervous system, liver and kidneys, causing damage and poisoning to related organs. Mercury poisoning can be divided into acute and chronic. Inhalation of large doses of mercury vapor or ingestion of mercury compounds can cause acute poisoning, which can be life-threatening in severe cases. This kind of acute poisoning is rare nowadays, and mainly occurs in productive poisoning such as mercury mining, amalgam smelting and other production workers. In fact, what is more common and more threatening to the general public is various unknown chronic mercury poisoning from the surrounding environment. [0003] Because mercury is not only in the form of metal in nature, but als...
