Abstract

The modified polypropylene resin comprises the following blended components in parts by weight: 100 parts of polypropylene and 0.01-10 parts of a modification additive. The modification additive is microemulsion which comprises a liquid light stabilizer and an organic compound nucleating agent, wherein the liquid light stabilizer is a light stabilizer GW-508 and / or a light stabilizer UV-292; the organic compound nucleating agent comprises sodium benzoate and 2,2'-bis(4,6-methylene-di-n-butyl phenol) sodium phosphate; and the weight ratio of sodium benzoate to 2,2'-bis(4,6-methylene-di-n-butyl phenol) sodium phosphate is (95:5)-(5:95). The method comprises the step of blending the components to prepare the modified polypropylene resin. The modified polypropylene resin provided by the invention is improved in crystallization property and mechanical property and meanwhile greatly reduced in cost.
