Problems solved by technology

[0005] In the cultivation of existing banana seedlings, the widely used means is to utilize the bud-sucking shoot apex meristem to cultivate artificial buds. This method requires workers with higher technical level to carry out aseptic operation. Second subculture, and with the increase of the number of subgenerations, the quality of seedlings will gradually decrease and the mutation rate will increase, which will cause a large number of inferior seedlings to enter the market and damage the interests of banana farmers, and this method takes a long time. Suction buds, to differentiation, rooting and emergence, lasted at least 9 months
[0006] The shortcomings of the above banana tissue culture production methods have begun to restrict the rapid and healthy development of the banana industry

Embodiment 1

[0041] Selection and treatment of banana sucking buds: dig out healthy banana plant bases from the field about 50cm high and thick sucking buds, remove the remaining mud, and use a knife to cut off the sucking bud root system, corm surface and leaf sheaths, and retain 5-8cm high leaf sheaths 6-9cm Remove the 2-3 layers of leaf sheaths on the surface of the sucking buds by stripping the base of the wide bud-sucking bulbs with a knife ring. Place the suction buds in a plastic basket and air-dry for 48-72 hours in a ventilated environment at room temperature to dry the surface and reduce pollution. Use a knife to cut off the leaf sheath at a place 1-2mm from the corm to the leaf sheath, so that the growth point is exposed, the resistance to germination is reduced, and the base of the bulb bud is retained. Draw a few knife marks about 1-3mm deep on the surface of the bulb (such as "rice", such as figure 1 shown), air-dried for 1-2 hours to dry the seedling juice, reduce pollution...

Embodiment 2

[0046] Example 2 : same as embodiment 1, the difference is that the corm surface is engraved with knife marks, and the knife marks do not pass through the top of the center growth point. The results showed that 2 to 5 banana seedlings could be propagated by using one banana suction bud.

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for rapid propagation of banana seedlings based on suckers. In the method, a corm root of the sucker is reserved, and a leaf sheath covering above a growth point is then removed through girdling of a knife; and tool marks are cut in the incision surface of the corm, and the corm is then embedded in a clean matrix for cultivation to obtain multiple shoots so as to further cultivate and obtain the banana seedlings. In the method provided by the invention, one banana sucker can be used to breed 30-50 banana seedlings, so demands quantity of the suckers is greatly reduced; and 3-4 months will be spent during production from bud taking to seedling emergence, so the production duration is 4-5 months shorter than the production duration of a tissue culture rapid propagation method, and production cost is greatly saved. The method provided by the invention requires no aseptic technique, puts forward low requirements for techniques and equipment, and is especially applicable to middle and small farms. Meanwhile, the method avoids defects that the tissue culture method has many subcultures and can lead to easy variation, is applicable to conservation and evaluation of banana resources, can effectively make up defects in existing banana rapid propagation methods and can promote healthy development of the banana seedling industry.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a seedling propagation method, in particular to a bud-suction-based rapid propagation method for banana seedlings. Background technique [0002] Sweet (large) bananas belong to the Musa family (Musaceae), and most fresh bananas are triploid (AAA), while cultivated bananas (Musa, spp.) are monosexual triploids (AAA, AAB, or ABB), which are highly sterile. [0003] The production of seedlings is very important in the industrial production of bananas. At present, there are mainly the following methods for banana propagation. One is the traditional method of directly using the sucking buds grown by the mother plant for planting. The reproduction coefficient is very low and it is not suitable for modern large Large-scale commercial production; there is also a report that uses banana immature male flowers as explants for rapid propagation in vitro. Although its reproduction coefficient is high, this method needs to induce callus fir...
