Abstract

The invention provides a method for promoting growth of probiotics by adding rutin in a culture medium. According to the method, a probiotics strain (lactobacillus rhamnosus) is inoculated into a rutin-added improved MRS lactic acid bacteria culture medium for fermentation, wherein the improved MRS lactic acid bacteria culture medium includes the following components in percentage by weight: 2% of glucose, 2% of peptone, 1% of a beef extract, 0.5% of a yeast extract, 0.5% of sodium acetate, 0.2% of dipotassium phosphate, 0.2% of diammonium hydrogen citrate, 0.025% of magnesium sulfate, 0.005% of manganese sulfate, 0.3% of tween-80, and the pH is 7.0; 1g-5g of rutin (with the impurity of 99%) is added into each liter of the fermentation culture medium. According to the method, the fermentation speed of probiotics in fermentation liquid and the viable count of probiotics can be remarkably increased; after carrying out fermentation growth on probiotics for 24 hours, the maximal viable count of obtained probiotics fermentation liquid can reach about 10<9>CFU / mL; added rutin has the effects of decreasing capillary fragility, improving microcirculation, resisting radiation and free radicals and the like, and the functional effect of a cultured product can be substantially improved.
