Embodiment Construction

[0020] figure 1 Shown is the schematic diagram of the principle of the low-frequency balanced zero-beat photodetector described in the present invention, which can be used to detect the noise of the laser analysis frequency between 50Hz-200kHz and measure the compressed noise spectrum of the non-classical light field in this frequency range. Changes in light intensity can also be monitored. Specifically, based on a low-noise transimpedance amplifier chip, the photocurrent signal is converted into a voltage signal through transimpedance amplification. It includes a first PIN photodiode 1 , a second PIN photodiode 2 , an AC coupling capacitor 3 , an AC transimpedance amplifier circuit 4 , a DC sampling resistor 5 and a DC amplifier circuit 6 . The AC amplification of the photodetector has the advantages of high gain, low noise, high common-mode rejection ratio, high saturated optical power, etc., and has a DC output, which can monitor the change of light intensity at the same t...

Abstract

The invention provides a low-frequency balanced zero beat photodetector, which can be used for detecting quantum noises of a laser at the frequency of 50Hz-200kHz and measuring the compression noise spectrum of a non-classical light field in this band. The photodetector comprises a first PIN photodiode (1) and a second PIN photodiode (2) which are of high quantum efficiency, an AC coupling capacitor (3), a low-frequency transimpedance amplifying circuit (4), a DC sampling resistor (5) and a DC same direction proportion amplifying circuit (6). The AC output of the photodetector has the advantages of high gain, low noise, high common mode rejection ratio and so forth, and the photodetector also has a DC output and can monitor the change in the light intensity.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a photodetector, in particular to a balanced zero-beat photodetector in quantum optics experiments, in particular to a photodetector for measuring the noise of laser light at low frequencies and the compression of nonclassical light fields at low frequencies. Background technique [0002] The detection of quantum noise in laser light fields has long required low-noise, high-gain detectors. The laser produced by most lasers is affected by relaxation oscillations, and has a large classical noise at low frequencies. The classical noise decreases with the increase of frequency. When the analysis frequency is greater than about 2MHz, the classical noise can basically be ignored. . Therefore, the bandwidth of detectors for quantum noise detection is generally between 2MHz and 20MHz, and there are relatively few studies on low-frequency detectors. With the maturity of the preparation method of the squeezed light field, the compressi...
