Abstract

The invention relates to the field of a high polymer material processing and modification, and especially relates to a composition containing modified high density polyethylene for hollow blow molding products. The composition comprises the following components in percentages by weight: 60-89% of high density polyethylene, 10-20% of linear low density polyethylene, 0-15% of nanometer calcium carbonate and 1-5% of liquid paraffin. The preparation method comprises the following steps: (1) polypropylene granules and various needed additives are weighed according to the weight percentages of the raw materials, the raw materials are added into a high speed mixer for 3-10 times of high speed stirring, wherein 8-10 minutes each time; (2) temperature of a double screw extruder is set at 160-210 DEG C, batches of mixed materials are added into the double screw extruder for fusion and plasticization. The prepared composition does not reduce other mechanical performances of the system, and greatly improves notch impact strength of the material.
