Abstract

A dental composition capable of photoinduced free radical polymerization is disclosed. The composition comprises a photopolymerization initiator and at least one biphenyl dimethacrylate monomer provided with two aromatic rings bonded by C-C bonds. The composition is low in volume shrinkage during visible light induced polymerization so that the composition is free of gaps generated by volume shrinkage due to polymerization.
