Abstract

The invention relates to an application deployment method and a cloud computing system. The method comprises following steps that a resource management component installs a container environment on a resource node, and uploads preset application operating environment mirrors and an application bootscript; a control component receives an application creation request from a management platform, and then sends an application deployment request to the resource management component on the resource node, and the resource management component searches corresponding application operating environment mirror in the container environment, and boots a container; and application information in the application deployment request is copied to the container, and the bootscript is operated so as to deploy the application. According to the method, application deployment density can be improved, and resource use efficiency is improved. The application is also deployed in the container, thereby improving the application deployment speed. Furthermore, the application program can be loaded and operated on a host platform directly, thereby reducing performance loss.
