Embodiment Construction

[0094] The same elements shown in the preceding figures are labeled with the same reference numerals.

[0095]According to one embodiment, the general principle of the structured light projector of the present invention is schematically shown in figure 1 middle. The projector mainly includes (except the light source and optical projection components not shown in the schematic diagram):

[0096] - a spectral splitting optical system 3 configured to effect a geometrical separation of the rays of the incident beam according to the wavelength of the incident beam (for example depending on Angular deviation of the wavelength by means of prisms or gratings, or lateral deviation of the beam by means of flat and parallel surface glass plates), and optionally at least one predetermined on the plane, and for example on an encoding device 5 also called a "multiple encoder" 5.

[0097] - encoding means 5 configured for encoding spectrally diffused over some regions, for example by mean...

Abstract

The application relates to a structured-light projector and a three-dimensional scanner comprising such the projector. The structured-light projector includes a light source, an optical system (3) for spectral decomposition, an encoding device (5), an optical system (8) for spectral recombination and an optical system for projection. The encoding device (5) includes a mask (51) that includes a binary encoding matrix pattern formed from 2*n rows and m columns, a sub-pattern defined by the rows '1' to 'n' being illuminated by an image of the beam with the wavelength [lambda]min and a sub-pattern defined by the rows 'n+1' to '2*n' being illuminated by an image of the beam with a wavelength [lambda]max. The two sub-patterns being identical or complementary, and two neighboring columns each including a different binary encoding from the other.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a structured light projector, in particular to a structured light projector for three-dimensional scanning, and a three-dimensional scanner having said projector. Background technique [0002] A three-dimensional scanner is an instrument that can measure the geometric coordinates (x, y, z) of various points on the surface of a scene or an object. Since the depth (or distance) is usually expressed according to the position (x, y) on the Cartesian coordinate system (coordonnéescartésienne) z, the measurements are often considered a map called "depth" of the imaged scene. The acquired depth map can also be used to compose 3D composite images (digitized objects) for various purposes. [0003] Various scanning technologies are available: some require physical contact with the surface to be digitized, such as three-dimensional measurement mechanisms (MMT, machine à mesure tridimensionnelle), for which measurement is performed...
