The method comprises the steps that based on a user's waveform parameter setting, a random waveform data is generated, through the calculation of a sampling rate and a vertical resolution, the data reading speed is acquired, based on the reading speed, reading the waveform data to acquire a DDS waveform data, transmitting the data of the sampling points of even numbers of the DDS waveform data to a first DA chip applying the zero-return-hold function, transmitting the data of the sampling points of odd numbers to a second DA chip applying the zero-return-hold function, two lines analog signals output from DA chip undergo the impedance matching, precision delay adjustment and signal overlay to achieve the vector overlay of two lines of analog signals; the overlaid analog signals are filtered and controlled in amplitude to acquire an output waveform. The method and device use the overlaying of the output signals of two DA zero-return-hold functions which is equal to the output signal of a DA zero order preserving function with two times of the sampling rate, thus causing no other amplitude and phase variants, needing no compensation, and enhancing the sampling rate.
