Abstract

The invention provides a stress whitening resistant modified nylon 6 material and a preparation method therefor. The material is prepared by mixing 80 to 98 parts of nylon 6, 2 to 10 parts of nylon 66, 2 to 20 parts of low density polyethylene, 5 to 30 parts of glass fiber, 0.1 to 1 part of optothermal stabilizing agent and 0.1 to 1 part of lubricating agent, and performing extruding. The problems including uneven fusion and broken bar during the extruding process are solved by selecting nylon 66, low density polyethylene and nylon 6 to act together and adjust the viscosity of polymers while melting and extruding. In addition, the low density polyethylene has high activity and can easily combine nylon 6 material into a ''sea-island structure'', which can absorb a large number of tiny cracks created while resin is under an external force. Consequently, the structure can prevent the further expanding of cracks and slow down or prevent the stress whitening phenomenon of nylon 6 material. The modified nylon 6 material can be applied in the occasions where external force is exerted frequently.
