Reflecting heat-insulating water-in-water multicolor coating and a preparation method thereof are provided; the reflecting heat-insulating water-in-water multicolor coating comprises a basic paint and a continuous phase; the basic paint comprises a filling material, and the continuous phase comprises, by weight, 5-15 parts of modified organic bentonite, 20-25 parts of nano TiO2, and 70-95 parts of polymer resin; the mass ratio of the filling material to the modified organic bentonite is 1:(0.1-1). By mixing the continuous phase and basic paint in a preset ratio, the spatial structure of the water-in-water multicolor coating is improved, and light-reflecting ability and heat-insulating capacity of the water-in-water multicolor coating are improved.
